J-017 Area Distribution Nodes And Site Telecom Dc Power Plant & Ac Inverters Design And Install

Main Objective

Establish a continuous-duty, three-phase, solid-state, online double-conversion reverse transfer static DC Plant compliant with UL 1778 as part of the J-001B Utilities and Site Improvements project for Finegayan main cantonment's Outside Plant Telecommunications Cabling.

The Challenge

Ensure the DC Plant's automatic load transfer capability from the inverter output to the bypass AC power source, meeting specific criteria like synchronized transfers, monitoring retransfers within an hour, and limiting transfers (1 to 3) to prevent cyclical transfers due to overloads.

The Solution

DC Engineering Consulting's automated system seamlessly transfers critical AC load from the inverter output to the bypass AC power source during overload, inverter shutdown signals, or output degradation. This occurs only if the connected load exceeds the remaining online module capacity. Under specified conditions, deviations in the static bypass AC power source from tolerance limits lead to a shutdown of both the DC Plant and critical load. Manual transfer to bypass (requested bypass) is possible, with restrictions like 100% step load, loss or return of input power, and momentary sags, surges, or spikes on the input to the DC Plant.
